updating our belief structures
changing the world means changing our mindset

Our world has come to such a place of crisis that we need to begin to re-cognize that things can never change until the people’s beliefs in the global structures changes. Our world is now entering a New Age and the globe is being flooded with the Children of that New Age. These children are the “Indigo” or “Rainbow” children who will be the ones to bust the old systems, tear them apart and bring in their new, updated ideas for re-structuring. Those of us who are now entering the last half of our lives in our 50s & 60s, have not only enough experiences in our proverbial “tool belts” of life but we are those who were on the crux of the shift into this New Era and have the power to assist and facilitate this shift from dark days into much bright ones for our global future.…. Thus, we can see both sides of the “coin” which opens us up to the whole of the truth of the reality we are living in, instead of limiting us to the limited vision of only “one side”. This kind of mentality is not only passé, it is out-dated, obsolete, un-developed, un-evolved and just plain stupid in the turbulent times we are now experiencing in our global ship on very stormy seas….. the storm before the calm? Isn’t time we began a reversal of trends, ideology, thoughts, pre-judice, and general beliefs that we so adamantly defend and live by each day in our safe, regular, routines… to the exclusion of everything else outside of our safety in our limited knowledge, in our limited lives that we live in on just the “right side”. Question is, the “right side” of what? We are all so certain that we are so righteous in our stead. But times being what they are, it is this precise thinking that has created the mess we are in at this very moment. If everyone is so absolute that their way is the only way… then that leaves way too many “cooks” in the “kitchen” of whatever the issue is concerning too many opinions. We trust no one… and if that is the case, how can we get anything done collective for the greater good for the greater whole if we are all divided on the cause.

This country was founded upon war. The Spanish and English came to this country and warred against the indigenous native peoples, dividing them from their land, their families, their traditional tribal ways and their long history of living in harmony with the earth and nature, in a mutually symbiotic relationship that fosters and supports enduring life for all. It is well known that the Civil War was one of the worst, most bloody wars of all history. And we, as a country, have gotten in the middle of more wars continuously over the past 100 years, between opposing countries than any other country, when we can’t even take care of things in our homeland. We fight between the Democrats and the Republicans, the liberals against the conservatives…. The liberals too loosy-goosy and the conservatives reigned in too tight-ass, both at extreme opposite ends. Why???... do we need to be divided in the first place? The very first sentence of the Declaration of Independence says…

"When, in the course of human events, it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands which have connected them with another, and to assume among the powers of the earth, the separate and equal station to which the laws of nature and of nature's God entitle them, a decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to the separation."

To translate… this is saying that when there comes a time when what is in place is no longer working, it becomes necessary for the people as a unified whole, to suspend and dissolve their political alliances long enough, in order to take in to consideration the whole of the issue which is causing the difference of opinions in the first place, as opposed to viewing the issue through their own “convenient” and “politically correct” opinion, to the exclusion of all else outside of that opinion. This is NOT a holistic approach and does not take into consideration what is the best for a win/win solution, for the greater good, for the greater whole. Rather, it is selfish, very narrow in its vision and choices available because the potential outcome has already been determined by the one holding up the rigid “rules and regulations”, which immediately places one at a dis-advantage due to the ruling out of everything outside of those “lines”. This is exclusive and not a very intelligent approach to solving anything. This is a dictatorship tactic, essentially saying that “my way is the only way” and anything different is wrong. This narrows the “playing field” within the infinite realm of possibility where anything can happen at any time…. Thus ruling out 99% of possibility for a righteous choice that will truly serve the common good for all… all for one and one for all. This is rigid, inflexible and fundamentally ignor-ant!

Doesn’t it make more sense to weight all the possibilities... to take into consideration all points of view and all known information in order to make the most informative choice. Why do we need to be so rigidly divided in the first place? Have we not learned over the past 200 years that this methodology is not working, and we have seen nothing but a continued decline in “civilization” in American over the past 100+ years. It has been nothing but continued wars, financial crisis, and wrestling with systems like “social security” and outrageous rates of unemployment. What part of this country is working??? Is this not a very clear sign that it is time for major changes, unlike anything we have experienced before and is this not the perfect time to “throw in the towel” on the old antiquated systems that are not serving, and open up to new, fresh ideas that are unlike anything we have tried before… because everything we have tried so far has failed? Do we all not need an “update” in our own thinking processes and operating systems that make up our physical brain and its workings? This is the 21st century and we are all still operating as in the 1700 and 1800s. We cannot update the worlds systems with the magic of computers and the internet, digital anything and everything and Pentium this and that if we are still working through a primitive 486 computer. Just as we periodically update our computers, so should we do the same with our brains and our thinking in order to continually adapt and evolve. Do we arrogantly believe that we have come as far as we can as a human species? Do we believe this is as good as it gets in human evolution and we have arrived at the end of our potential development with the evolution of the times? Sadly, we do not open to this and we shrink and atrophy away from the fullness of life and its robust abundance that is there for the taking if one does so desire. “God helps those who help themselves” does not mean that we have to do everything or nothing. It means that if one makes the intention and shows up for their life with the willingness to make the effort, that Spirit will “meet us halfway” and provide the ways and means along the pathway to success with our endeavor. One only need to look about a bit to find the very treasures that life does offer and shift our focus in that direction… abundance, instead of scarcity. We are all geared towards continually striving for more, more, more… when is anything ever enough in the world today? As far as I know, the fact that we cannot take any of it with us when we die remains the same as it has for thousands upon thousands of years… why would our thinking be so radically opposite from this if we truly believe, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that there is a “God”… that we all say we believe in, who will supply all of our basic needs, just as it says Jesus did in the bible. Are we all fundamentally hypocrites, saying we believe in a Greater, Higher Spiritual force, as long as it is convenient, while in Sunday church, so that we can go out into the light of day and live in direct opposition to the very fundamental teachings of Christianity? It appears so.

The first sentence in the Preamble of the Constitution of the United States says:

"We the People of the United States, in order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America."

It does not say… “in order to divide and conquer”! Our country does not resemble this Preamble in any fashion and yet, we are all so quick to wave the banner of the constitution and parade around beneath it, and yet our talk is cheap and is no better than the broken promises and words spoken with “forked tongue” that we have perpetuated since the beginning. We can restructure all the systems we want, and paint the Earth “green” as much as we desire, however, we cannot change our world for the best, if we are not willing to let go, change our ways of thinking and place some trust in the “up and coming” youngsters, the "crystalline children" who can do the job for us…. Period!
